Any time is a good time to create a balanced fitness plan! The main difference between having a plan and not having a plan is that with a plan you give your body and mind an opportunity for new ideas, ingredients and concepts to have an effect and interact with you. A plan takes time to take effect. There is a shortage of time with today’s info-overloaded fast pace and an over abundance of fitness plans to sift through and consider. Allowing one concise and balanced plan to actually take a foothold in your life is almost not so possible. There are so many things to consider when devising your own Transformative Balanced Fitness Plan that it can be a daunting and seemingly futile task. Here are some essential steps to follow that may give you some follow through. Good luck!
- Follow Through
- Keep it simple
- Stretch It
- Lift It
- Move It
- Record It
- Juice It
- Smoothies
- Prepare
- Feel It
One more important step that will make your Ultimate Transformative Fitness Plan a resounding success is to ENJOY IT! If you do not enjoy what you are eating or the activity that you are undertaking then chances are that it will not have too much stick-to-it-ness. So try to enjoy what you undertake, even just a little. An important thing to do while trying to instill the enjoyability factor into your Balanced Fitness Plan is to give yourself time to ADAPT. If you are just starting to walk a mile or run a mile then it will take a little time for your body to acclimate and adapt. If you are use to an over abundance of processed sugar in your diet then it will take some time to acclimate to less and/or natural unprocessed sugars (like having fresh squeezed organic pineapple juice from your own juicer instead of a Coca Cola or Pepsi). When you have adapted and/or reached a comfort zone of a set activity or lifestyle change give yourself time to ENJOY it and allow it to have a long lasting effect BEFORE you go and change it again or decide it’s boring and forget about it.
Some say that you must get out of your comfort zone before things can change for the better but some people are really not that comfortable before they get out of the comfort zone. It is wise to know your comfort zone before you get out of it and then take little steps, don’t stray too far away. Here is one last bonus step for your Ultimate Transformitive Balanced Fitness Plan: AFFIRM IT! When attempting to change one not so good habit for a better one use an affirmation to affirm the benefits of the new plan. For example: if you are replacing a late night sweet snack with a nice fresh air walk around the neighborhood focus on the affirmation: “I really enjoy to have a restorative fresh air walk before going to bed”. And there you have it!
Follow Through: there is no swing without follow through, any questions?
Keep It Simple: this is the most important thing I learned in college, still trying.
Stretch It: be flexible in every way. start slow, practice a little every day.
Lift It: every plan needs a little lift. Lift stuff then put it down carefully.
Move It: if you don’t it will gather dust. Stay one step ahead.
Record It: not just for posterity, it’s for the moment. Get a fit memo pad and write in it.
Juice It: the Breville Juice Fountain. Yes, it’s easy to clean…
Smoothies: it’s 2012! Make a protein shake for Pete’s sake!
Prepare: before you set out on your journey make sure you got all the stuff you’ll need.
Feel It: seriously?
Enjoy It: gotta…
Affirm It: try it on for size…
